Why Buy Pushdowns?
This new Ad Unit is unquestionably the most intrusive/unavoidable unit in our arsenal! When the user lands on our homepage, the Pushdown literally shoves down all other content and does not go away until the set duration is complete. This means video units block the site for up to :30, audio runs up to :15 and a graphic-only unit lasts :05. Play the video below to see what it looks like.
Pushdowns should be sold at a super-premium, between 20-30X the cost of a ROS 300×250 cube. Because it impacts user-experience so significantly, these units are subject for approval, based on price.
- As with any Display Ad, the key is having a simple, clean call-to-action message that ties into the campaign heard on-air/online. It should ASK the consumer to ACT. Example: Click Here To Schedule Your Test Drive!
- If the campaign is NOT sold on an impression basis, we strongly recommend that you specify a frequency cap. To avoid site visitors getting overwhelmed by the ad, specify one impression per visitor per day.
